Cinq by Heratani

by Heratani @ Cinq's Session

It was a doodle of Cinq I had drawn some time ago, I went.... a little overboard with the shading and whatnot. Also, if you're wondering, he's a Megaman X OC!

I don't know if this website has any way of notifying a person if their image gets a comment. I was wondering if you would even see it.

Grubler, an Original Character is when you create a character in all its part or the majority, often inspired by either an existing Universe ( As you can see here, inspired by the Megaman X Universe ) or create it to create your own story. What makes it appealing to create when it is inspired by an Universe is how you have to create it differently from the cannon characters, but also most of the time have to follow constrictions given by the Universe chosen. I do not see OC creation as invading the Universe or franchise, it always depends how much work you put in it and most of the time it is inevitable to avoid OCs. But as I said, there are instances where people create Original Characters based off of nothing and instead create their own Universe and story to go with them. What makes it original from the Universe that someone else created is how you have to create that character to fit in, it can be tricky at times, which in that case I can mention that OCs based off of Universe can also be called Fan Characters. Created by fans, because they enjoy the Universe and want to create their own story with it by creating their own characters to fit in it. Now whether or not you enjoy the idea in general is up to you, I find the experience quite enjoyable myself. Also, don't worry, I'm sorry if my answer may seem fuzzy. I just woke up and I'm still a bit groggy.

Hmmm. May I ask you questions about things? What is an "original character"? And I guess you still call it an "original character" even if it is based within so to speak something that was made up by somebody else. Just to intend to show other people or let them know that it isn't from something else made by somebody else, but made by you yourself, even if it is still in fact based on sort of and using parts that were from something else one might say "originally"? Is that alright to ask? Yeah, wondering here. About these things. Seen the words used a bit before.... Hello, by the way. I am grubler66... Sorry if my question is a bit much. Trying things out a bit here....
