Drawpile 2.2.2-beta.4 has many bugfixes and new features, like improved selections, a magic wand, animation exports to video, better pen tablet support and more. It's fully compatible with previous versions, so you can use it in the same session with folks who are still on the non-beta version. While it's still in development, it should be pretty stable, but the new stuff is still in flux.
If you run into issues, found a bug, want to suggest a feature or ask for help with something, take a look at the help pages on how to get in touch! Also, consider enabling crash dumps, they help a lot to figure out what went wrong if the program crashes.

Note 1: On Windows, you may get a message saying SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. To get rid of this, we'd have to pay Microsoft a lot of money. So for now, you have to dismiss the warning yourself: click on More info underneath the message and then on the Run anyway button that appears at the bottom.
Note 2: If you get an error about missing the Visual Studio Redistributable or a VCRUNTIME DLL, you need to install those first. They are provided by Microsoft, you can download them here.

Note: For the APK, you have to enable apps from unknown sources. How exactly this works depends on your device, but it should be in the settings somewhere. To get rid of this, we'd have to pay Google money.

Not all servers allow joining sessions this way. Take a look at the Communities page to see how the official community servers handle it. If you have your own server, the WebSocket server setup page tells you how to allow the web browser version on it.
